BULGUR VEGETABLE UPMA
As it is summer every morning to stand in front of stove and cook something new and exciting is boring. Well here we bring to you a new “Make Effortless Eat Guilt-free” recipe. The best part of this recipe is you don’t need to stand in front of heat to roast. Just soak bulgur (Wheat Daliya) and make a healthy tasty upma for your family. Just by switching one ingredient a dish can be converted into delicious healthy meals. So what are you waiting for make it and share your experience.
Bulgur (Wheat daliya) – ½ cup (Soaked for 20 mins)
Onion (Diced) – 1 tbsp
Green Peas – ½ cup
Cabbage finely grated – ½ cup
Curry leaves – 4-5 leaves
Black gram (Udad) dal – ½ tsp
Mustard Seeds – ½ tsp
Salt – As per taste
Oil – ½ tsp
Ghee – Brush a little to give a glaze
Asetofodia (Hing) – A pinch
Accomplishments : –
Coconut and coriander Chutney
Method : –
In a nonstick pan heat the oil, add mustard seeds, black gram dal (Udad dal), curry leaves and let it roast till black gram dal turns brown and mustard seeds splutters. Add asetofodia(Hing) and immediately add onions. Saute for a min till onions becomes translucent. Add salt and finely shredded cabbage and green peas. Let it cook for a minute. Finally add Bulgur wheat (Daliya) and add some water till it gets cooked. Just before serving, dip the brush in ghee and mix the upma with brush and serve immediately. Accomplish it with coconut and coriander chutney.
